This is an antique ironstone butter chip or butter pat made in England during the Edwardian era, 1901-1908 with a central motif of roses.
The butter pat measures 3.25 inches in diameter and has a scalloped rim, embossed pattern border and gold trim.
The butter pat is in very good ++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks but does have a bit of gold wear, a bit of pattern wear and a few minor utensil marks.
The butter pat, makes a wonderful teabag caddy, sushi or sauce dish now.
