Westmoreland Open Salt Pair Salt Dish 1920s USA Salt Cellar Teabag Ring Holder
SKU:
This is a pair of vintage clear glass open salts, salt dips or salt cellars with a 10 paneled shape and star bottoms made by Westmoreland Glass Company, USA in the 1920s.
The salt is pictured on page 137 of the collector's guide 5,000 Open Salts by Heacock and Johnson.
The paneled open salt cellars each measure 1 inch high by 1.75 inches in diameter with a slight variation between them.
The clear pressed glass salt is in very good ++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
There is an air bubble inclusion from manufacture and wear around the top rim.
Open salts are now used on the dining or tea table for sauces, teabag holders or even for their original use...salt!
Also for rings or paper clips...very useful!
