This is a wonderful set of 8 antique Edwardian era Madeira hand embroidered floral linen dinner napkins in a taupe or a light tan on off white from the 1900-1910s with fancy stitches and filet lace trim.

Each of the large napkins measure approximately 16 inches by 18 inches with hand made border of filet lace or lace net darning, and button hole stitched 3 dimensional flower like a Chrysanthemum in the corner and a net darned motif, and cutwork all edged in a buttonhole stitch.

There are no tears or mends and are in very good ++ used vintage condition, with only a light spot or mark on one as seen in the photo. There is a slight variation in color, which is probably due to some being used and washed more that others.

There are a very few minor thread breakages, but these have been treasured and well cared for. The are ironed, but not starched.

A lovely set for any tea table or dinner table for your holiday, dinner or tea party.
