Art Deco Brown Transferware Cake Plate Landscape Serving Plate Sandwich 1920s
SKU:
This is a cake plate or dessert server in an art deco lanscape design in hand colored on sepia brown transferware made by Wellington, a division of JH Cope, England from 1924-1930s.
The plate measures 8.25 inches high by 9 inches wide and has a sepia transfer design of a landscape with trees, flowers and a humpback bridge that has been hand painted with enamels in orange and yellow with gold trim.
So deco! The plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a bit of gold wear. A wonderfully evocative art deco design for the tea table or as a room accent.
