Art Deco Pixie Sugar Shaker Caster Royal Winton Grimwades Hand Painted 1930s Elf Toadstool
SKU:
This is an absolutely fabulous and fun vintage sugar shaker, muffineer or sugar caster in the Pixie line of Royal Winton Grimwades, England Relief Molded Ware made 1936-1940s with the pattern number 4037.
The ceramic shaker is 5.5 inches high by 3.5 inches wide and features a pixie or an elf under a mushroom or toadstool.
The muffineer is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear and has it's original stopper, which I did not remove.
These are very hard to find, especially in good condition. So fun!
Sugar shakers or muffineers were popular especially from the Victorian and Edwardian eras on as a table accessory used to shake sugar on muffins, hence the name, pancakes or crumpets at the tea table.
