This is a rare vintage English silver plated figural knife rest of a racing greyhound with a finely detailed racing muzzle and coat with the number 1 made in England in the 1920s.

The knife rest or knife holder is 4 inches long and is in very good +++ used vintage condition with minor marks to the plate.

A wonderful find from our last English buying trip. Knife rests were used to keep the tablecloth clean and are very collectible as well as enjoying a revival of popularity for dining tables and tea tables.
