This is a Royal Doulton, England butter pat, butter chip or small butter dish which are now more often used as teabag caddies in the Old Leeds Spray pattern D3548 made by between 1912-1920s.
The butter pat measures 3.25 inches in diameter and features hand painted on transfer flowers with dark green trim on an earthenware body.
The butter pat or butter dish is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks but does have the crazing consistent with the age and material.
Butter pats are being used currently as ring dishes, teabag holders and for sushi and sauces.
