This is a vintage English padded fabric tea cozy or tea cosy with a red Scottish tartan pattern with hand embroidered design of thistles and white heather, traditional symbols of Scotland and the initials A D in a white lace frame.

The tea cozy measures 12 inches wide by 8 inches high and is 3 inches thick with a fabric hanging loop and dark blue lining. The tea cozy was made in the England during the 1950s and we found it at an antiques market in Gloucester...in the snow.

The tea cosy is in excellent condition and would fit up to a large teapot. Tea cosies are made to keep the pot warm and this is also a great souvenir of Scotland.
