Victorian Gorham Sterling Silver Serving Spoon Louis XIV Large 1860s Elegant Dinner Initial M McG
SKU:
This is a fabulous mid Victorian era large sterling silver serving spoon in the Louis XIV pattern made by Gorham Silver Company, USA in the 1860-1870s.
The fancy large silver spoon weighs a heavy 44.5 grams of sterling silver and has an art nouveau finial.
The fancy large serving spoon is marked on the back of the bowl. The antique sterling silver spoon measures 8 inches long and the bowl is almost 1 3/4 inch wide.
There is a monogram in script on the finial which looks like M.M.cG.
The spoon is in very good +++ used vintage condition but the bowl shows wear and some minor dents. This is an extremely hard pattern to find.
