This is a gorgeous Sadler, England teapot in an antique Victorian pedestal style with blue Cornflowers and platinum trim over an antique white base from the 1940s.
The pretty also has an embossed scroll or fleur-de-lis pattern around the top of the teapot as well as around the lid and the base of the teapot. Very elegant!
The pretty large teapot measures 7 inches high to the top of the finial by 11 inches long spout tip to handle edge by 6 inches in diameter, so is a large size holding 4-6 cups.
The teapot is marked on the base with the embossed Sadler England backstamp dating it to the 1940s along with the teapot's item number and artists mark in handwritten platinum.
The shape is 1562.
Pattern number is 2494 .
The elegant teapot has no chips, cracks, wear or repairs to pot or lid, and is in very good +++ used vintage condition. There is some light, crazing and discoloring in the interior from use, but nothing that goes through. See the photo.
