This is a vintage Alfred Meakin, England breakfast sized teacup trio or cup and saucer with matching plate in the hand colored or multi color brown transfer Coaching Days pattern made in the 1940s.

The rarely seen ironstone breakfast cup, which is larger than the usual cup and is very hard to find, measures  3 inches high by 3.15 in diameter. The saucer is 6 in diameter, the plate is 6.5 in diameter.

All pieces are in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only very minor signs of any wear at all. A lovely set and hard to find.
