This is an unmarked English victorian lidded casserole or tureen with a dark blue transferware floral design. The shabby chic less-than-perfect tureen dates to 1870-1890 and was made in Staffordshire England.
The ironstone tureen or casserole is 5 inches high by 11 inches long by 7 inches wide.
The soup or vegetable tureen or bowl does have some problems due to age and use and is graded good +++ used vintage condition with no chips. There is discoloring and several tight hairline cracks.
But it is a neat piece evocative of the victorian era, and a very decorative piece that could be used or repurposed in so many ways.We Also Recommend
