Bone China Flowers Brooch England 1950s Primroses Blue Purple Yellow
SKU:
This is the sweetest vintage English bone china pin or brooch from England recently in a form referred to as a Staffordshire Posy brooch.
The hand made bone china figural flower pin features 3 flowers that look like anemones or primroses with leaves.
About 2.5 inches in diameter with a silver metal back and roll clasp.
The brooch is unmarked. The hand made pin is in excellent used vintage condition which is rare for this bone china jewelry.
Pins of this quality were very popular in the 1950s when this was made. We watched craftsman making these at the factory workrooms in Stoke On Trent and were amazed at the skill and time it took to make each part of these flowers by hand from a lump of clay.
The potteries have all either closed or moved production to the far east so these are no longer being made. The pin is in it's original box with velvet pad but no lid.
