This is an antique EAPG or Early American Pattern Glass spooner or dpoon holder with a gorgeous neoclassical pattern called either Minerva or Roman Medallion, made in the 1870s by Adams Glass Company, USA.
The spooner has a combination of raised dots or beading and classical medallions of a Roman goddess and a warrior with grapes and leaves, a pedestal and a beaded rim.
The spooner 5 inches high by 3.5 in diameter and is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and basically no wear from use with a good, strong pattern.
The spooner is very attractive and is one of the most sought after of EAPG, or Early American Pattern Glass spooner patterns.
