This is a set of 5 of antique Victorian high button show buttons, gaiter buttons or glove buttons in red with metal shanks dating 1850-1910.

Each button is 1/2 inch in diameter. Three have totally painted tops and two have the metal top showing that is usually called a pin shank.

The buttons are great for sewing, eyes, clothes, costumes and embellishments for all sorts of crafts, or your Victorian or button collection. Wonderful grouped in a bowl.
