Apricot Geraniums Paragon Cup And Saucer Gorgeous Peach Black 1940s Hand Painted

Paragon, Star China

SKU:
  • $ 000

This is a gorgeous apricot or peach Geranium patterned Paragon China, England fancy cabinet cup and saucer in a hand painted design on black or peach and rust Geraniums with green leaves on the pedestal cup interior and saucer center with gold trim.

I haven't often seen Geraniums on a teacup...and such lovely hand painted ones!

The beautifully made teacup has the royal warrant for Queen Mary, wife of King George V and her daughter-in-law Queen Elizabeth, wife of George VI, parents of Queen Elizabeth II.  That tells us the teacup was made between 1937 when the mark changed when George VI and Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne and 1952 when George VI died and Queen Elizabeth became queen. Queen Mary died in 1953.

The cup is 2.2 inches high by 3.85 inches in diameter and the saucer is 5.65 inches in diameter.

The fancy cup and saucer is in excellent, cherished condition with no chips, cracks or wear....perfect for china cabinet or tea party and drop dead gorgeous!
