Blue Willow Cup And Saucer Willow 1960s Teacup North Staffordshire Ridgway
SKU:
This is a pretty North Staffordshire Pottery, England cup and saucer in their version of the Willow or Blue Willow pattern of blue transferware on ironstone made in the 1960s after they were acquired by Ridgway, England, of high quality and not often seen.
The cup is 2.25 inches high saucer 5.5 inches in diameter with a lovely abstract border print.
Both pieces are in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
A lovely and legendary love story with lovers fleeing across a bridge and being represented by 2 birds, with a pagoda always included.
A favorite pattern of many, and one of the earliest designs in china patterns. Love the romantic story!
