Butter Pat Antique English Rose Border 1890s Teabag Caddy
SKU:
This is an Victorian or Edwardian era English butter chip, butter pat or small butter plate made in 1890-1910 with pink roses.
The ironstone butter pat measures 3 inches in diameter and is made of scalloped and molded porcelain with a border of roses and leaves with gold trim.
The butter pat, which makes a wonderful teabag caddy now, is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only minor gold wear.
There are 2 manufacturing flaws on the front...a dimple and a dent under the glaze. Both are very hard to see, but I'm picky!
Butter pats are used nowadays as teabag holders, sauce dishes or ring dishes as well as adding a bit of class to the tea or dinner table in their original capacity.
