This is a clear glass salt dip, open salt or salt cellar made by Cambridge Glass Company, USA 1920-1930s in the Community pattern.
The hexagonal paneled salt dip measures 1 inch high by 1.75 inches in diameter, has a 14 petal flower bottom and is listed in 5000 Open Salts by Heacock and Johnson.
The open salt is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks but shows a bit of wear from use.
Salts has so many other uses as well. They can be used as a ring dish, individual sauce server or as a teabag caddy. So versatile!
