Devon Violets Ceramic Perfume Bottle Hand Painted 1940s Mottoware Clay
SKU:
This is a vintage pottery Devon Violets perfume bottle made 1940-1950s by Dellavelle, London England.
The perfume bottle has it's original cork ball stopper and remnants of a black wax seal and was made in the same area and of the same clay at Torquay Devon Motto Ware.
The perfume bottle holds (held, I don't know if it does now) 1.5 fl oz of Devon Violets Toilet Water.
The pinched ceramic bottle measures 3 inches high by 2 inches in diameter and has a hand painted design with stamped name.
The Devon Violets toilet water was made in England by Dellavelle to be distributed in the US by Wallner and Mayer, New York.
The bottle is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear and is unopened, but whether it still contains anything, I could not say.
