This is an antique English Edwardian era butter pat or butter chip made by Alfred Meakin, England 1907-1914 in an oriental style foliage pattern.
The butter pat measures 3.25 inches in diameter and is in very good +++ used vintage condition with no chips or cracks and only minor wear.
There is a bit or normal crazing from age and material.
Butter pats are used nowadays as teabag holders, sauce dishes or ring dishes as well as adding a bit of class to the tea or dinner table in their original capacity.
