Flow Blue Art Nouveau English Teapot Late Victorian Red Transferware 1870-1890
SKU:
This is an antique Victorian art nouveau teapot made by Samuel Johnson Pottery, England around 1870-1890 with a red Rose transferware design and flow blue color glaze. The manufacturer mark changed in 1890, so we can date it accurately.
The gorgeous art nouveau teapot measures 7 inches high by 10 inches spout tip to handle edge by 6 inches wide.
The teapot is in good ++ used vintage condition with overall crazing gold trim wear and discoloring from years of use, and a shallow under spot chip as shown in the photos.
It is so unusual to find a teapot like this, I couldn't pass it up at a market in England even if not perfect.
So very decorative!
