This is an antique lace making bobbin of turned wood or treen with antique glass beads made in Bedfordshire, England n the East Midlands style 1850-1870s.
The lace making bobbin for tatting or so called pillow lace making measures 5.5 inches long.
The antique lace making bobbin has 1 faceted clear glass bead, 2 faceted white cased faceted cylinder glass beads, 1 faceted clear cylinder glass bead, 2 round blue glass beads, 1 large round green glass bead, 1 turquoise faceted clear glass bead and 1 green faceted clear glass bead.
The beads are old and the bobbin is beautifully turned. Lovely!
