This is an antique Canadian glass open salt, salt dip or salt cellar made in Canada around 1900.

The clear glass open salt measures 1 inch high by 2.25 inches in diameter with a scalloped rim and alternating panels of waffle and zipper pattern.

The salt is pictured on page 139 of Heacock and Johnsons book 5,000 Open Salts Collector's Guide.

The open salt is in excellent used vintage condition with no chips, cracks or wear.
