This is an all hand made sterling silver salt spoon made from a King George VI sterling silver coin from South Africa commemorating the Royal Visit of King George VI in 1941.
The concave sixpence has been mounted to a barley twist handle with a beaded wire open work heart shaped finial.
The salt spoon measures 3.25 inches long with the sixpence bowl measuring .75 inch in diameter.
The salt spoon is in excellent used vintage condition and is great item of British royal memorabilia and a souvenir of King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II and his ties to the commonwealth nation of South Africa.
