Spode Pearlware Platter Castle Blue Transferware 10.25 Inches 1816-1833 Victorian
SKU:
This is a wonderful Victorian era Spode pearlware platter in the Castle pattern of blue transfer or transferware made between 1816 and 1833 according to the mark from the end of the Georgian period through the early days of Queen Victoria's reign.
The platter is 1 inch high by 10.25 inches long by 7.5 inches wide and feature a lovely landscape genre scene with a floral border.
The pretty pearlware blue and white transferware platter is in very good ++ used antique condition with no cracks, but does have a very old rim chip which actually allows one to see the pearlware glaze on the earthenware under the tranferware pattern. Neat!
Very decorative, and early Victorian Spode is difficult to find!
