This is a vintage sugar scuttle or sugar bowl in the shape of a coal scuttle that was made in in Japan in the 1950s of silver plated metal with a fancy classical floral design and gold washed interior.

The sugar scuttle measures 6 inches to the top of the handle or 4.5 inches high to the top of the scuttle by 6 inches long by 3.5 inches wide.
