This is a wonderful Aynsley, England teapot made in the classic Shamrock design from 1938-1959 in white bone china with green Irish Shamrocks and and gold trim.
The molded shape is a foliage design by Aynsley called the Crocus shapes, and was one of their most popular designs.
The elegant teapot measures 5.5 inches high to the top of the lid finial by 10 inches long from spout tip to handle edge by 6.5 inches in diameter, and holds 38 ounces.
The teapot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or gold wear. The interior is immaculate, and the teapot seems to have been displayed rather than used.
It is absolutely beautiful. A wonderful addition to the tea table.
