Victorian Cranberry Glass Vase Art Glass White Frit Lip Crimped Honeycomb 1900-1910 Edwardian
SKU:
This is a gorgeous antique cranberry red art glass Honeycomb patterned art glass vase from 1900-1910, so from the late Victorian or Edwardian era.
The beautiful cranberry art glass vase is 7.5 inches high by 5 inches in diameter around the crimped lip and is 4.5 inches in diameter in the main vase area.
The vase is a wonderful rich cranberry color in a honeycomb or stretched thumbprint design with a contrasting mottled white lip made by the cooling mouth blow vase rim being inverted onto a tray of white glass shards, or frit, then returned to the fire to melt into the cranberry glass. The vase rim is then crimped, or scalloped.
The vase has a ground pontil from being blown and then ground at the end of the manufacturing.
The color is really beautiful.
Perfect for many rooms, and perfect for a sweetheart bouquet for Valentine's Day, for a Christmas tea party or anytime a room needs an elegant cranberry red focal point.
That's a pop of red that will brighten any room or any tea table!
